Premier Capital marks 193 restaurants in 2024 with Râmnicu Vâlcea opening

On December 23, 2024, Premier Restaurants Romania, the operator of our McDonald’s business in Romania, opened its newest Drive-Thru restaurant in Râmnicu Vâlcea. Located at Bd. Nicolae Bălcescu, no. 38, this is the third McDonald’s in the city and the seventh restaurant to open in Romania this year, with an investment of €2.5 million.

“This opening strengthens our connection to the Vâlcea County community and concludes an ambitious year of expansion for us,” said Valentin Truță, Managing Director of Premier Restaurants Romania. “In 2024, we invested 170 million lei (€34.1 million) in opening seven new restaurants and advancing our digital capabilities, creating 450 new jobs in the process. Looking ahead to 2025, we remain committed to innovation and strategic investments that enhance the customer experience and align with our growth objectives.”

Spanning 400 square metres, the new restaurant seats 98 guests indoors and features a spacious outdoor terrace accommodating 128 guests. Equipped with cutting-edge technology, the restaurant offers self-ordering kiosks, digital menu boards for both in-store and Drive-Thru orders, and a dedicated McDelivery® pickup area. Customers can also enjoy the convenience of the McDonald’s app, which provides Mobile Order & Pay functionality, exclusive offers, and loyalty rewards through QR code scanning.

Sustainability remains a cornerstone of Premier Capital’s operations. In line with McDonald’s global sustainability goals, the Râmnicu Vâlcea restaurant is fitted with photovoltaic panels, an electric vehicle charging station, and facilities for selective waste collection.

Guests can enjoy McDonald’s signature menu offerings, alongside the McCafé® experience for coffee and desserts, and McDelivery® service for added convenience. The restaurant operates daily from 07:00 to 00:00, with Drive-Thru services available 24/7.
